Monday December 5th-Thursday December 8th from 10:30-11:30 AM EST join us virtually with your students to engage in Computer Science activities and coding fun.

Recommended for Grades 4-8, but everyone is welcome!

For one hour each day bring an FCL expert into your classroom to engage your students in hands-on learning!

  • This learning experience will introduce you to the micro:bit - its bits and capabilities, how it works, and the coding software, MakeCode, that makes programming so easy!  Upon completion, you will be ready to meet several curriculum expectations through coding with the micro:bit!

  • We teamed up with Taking it Global to bring you Tech for Reconciliation; a program dedicated to promoting Indigenous knowledge and work, through technology. In addition, we will share the amazing coding program, Your Voice is Power. Your Voice is Power is designed to teach the fundamentals of computer science, entrepreneurship and social justice while engaging students of all backgrounds in powerful acts of reconciliation. Using the EarSketch platform, students get creative to remix songs from Indigenous artists.

  • Children today are online more than any generation before them. Everything from their phones to TVs, to gaming systems can connect to the internet. Let’s teach our students how to engage safely online and what good digital hygiene means!
