Learner Success Coordinator (6-month contract term)

As the Learner Success Coordinator at FCL, you will be responsible for supporting learner engagement, retention, and overall success within the organization’s bootcamp training offerings. The role collaborates closely with program managers, instructors, and platform staff to ensure that learners are welcomed, supported, and empowered throughout their intensive training journey. 

As a front-line support and internal advocate for learners, the Coordinator monitors engagement, identifies areas for improvement, and implements proactive strategies to foster a positive and motivating bootcamp experience.  You will attend live virtual bootcamp programs to support the Facilitator and learners, taking attendance, supporting the Facilitator and learners with technology needs and assisting learners in real time. 

Specific duties may include, but not be limited to: 

  • Learner Onboarding & Support 

  • Deliver high-touch onboarding experiences for learners entering bootcamp programs. 

  • Ensure learners are prepared with the necessary tools, access, and confidence to succeed in both live and online environments, supporting access to accommodations, technical assistance, and supplemental resources as needed. 

  • Respond promptly and empathetically to learner inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and connect learners to appropriate resources. 

  • Engagement Strategy & Execution 

  • Implement program-specific communication plans to drive learner engagement and persistence throughout the bootcamp. 

  • Encourage participation through live check-ins, reminder posts, Q&A sessions, and motivational messaging. 

  • Track learner engagement and progress, using data to inform targeted outreach and proactive support. 

  • Monitoring & Continuous Improvement 

  • Monitor attendance, progress, and completion data to identify at-risk learners and intervene effectively. 

  • Gather learner feedback through surveys, forums, and informal channels, and share insights to inform program improvements. 

  • Maintain accurate learner records for engagement, attendance, and outcomes for reporting purposes. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication 

  • Serve as a liaison between learners and the delivery team, ensuring learner needs and concerns are communicated effectively. 

  • Collaborate with instructors, program managers, and operations staff for seamless logistics and communication. 

  • Participate in program planning meetings, learner experience reviews, and retrospectives to continuously enhance delivery. 

 

What we are looking to have you bring to us: 

  • Experience in learner-facing, customer support, or community engagement roles, ideally in adult education, or workforce development. 

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport and trust with diverse learners. 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple touchpoints in a fast-paced, program-driven environment. 

  • Comfortable using digital learning platforms, CRM systems, and communication tools. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic tech issues related to course access and platform navigation. 

  • Flexible and adaptable, with availability and willingness to work daytime hours as well as evenings and weekends to align with bootcamp schedules. 

  • Demonstrated adherence to confidentiality. 

  • Professional, positive and flexible demeanour. 

  • Independent and resourceful, while also collaborative and team-oriented. 

  • Passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping learners achieve their goals through intensive training.

Work Arrangement: 

This job supports our online learning programs which are scheduled during daytime, evening and weekend hours.  We require the incumbent to be flexible to work the hours/days of the week required to support the programming.  The majority of work completed by the role will be done from a home office environment, with the requirement to attend the in-person/in-office on an as-needed basis, to be determined by FCL.  

 

This arrangement is also subject to change with the needs of the operation and at the sole discretion of the employer and may require the employee to return to full in-office work in the future.
