FC Gaming & Twitch

The new year has dawned, and so too has FC Gaming’s programming on the popular livestreaming website, Twitch.

Twitch is “an interactive livestreaming service for content spanning gaming, entertainment, sports, music, and more.” Twitch is an essential platform to learn about when discussing esports, as most, if not all, major esports programming is broadcasted on Twitch. With over 100 million monthly viewers, it’s not hard to see why most major esports titles stream official games on the platform.

How is FC Gaming utilizing Twitch?

FC Gaming will be running weekly streams on Thursdays at 4 PM EST covering the games discussed in our coaching clinic last summer. It’s a chance for educators to get familiar with Twitch and how it’s used in the daily lives of millions of esports games, professionals, and fans.

Every week Coach Blaise will join you to explore Minecraft: Education Edition, Rocket League, and League of Legends. A stream schedule can be found here.

What should I expect?

Twitch offers community building between the streamer and their viewers through the chat feature. Viewers can send messages and streamers can respond to them in real-time, which is how we’ll be interacting with you during the stream! To use this feature, you will need to sign up for a Twitch account. Even if you decide to not chat with us using Twitch, we’ll be responding to questions on Twitter.

Join us Thursdays at 4 PM EST!
