Prove You Have the Right Skills with Certification

Fair Chance Learning and CCI Learning partner to help Canadian educators and students certify their skills.

In almost every country around the world, there is a skills gap between the skills people have and the ones they require. In response, Fair Chance Learning and CCI Learning are proud to announce their partnership to equip and certify educators and students with the skills necessary to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

“I’m thrilled about the opportunity this partnership brings to our community of educators and students.” says Dustin Jez, Co-Founder and CEO of Fair Chance Learning. ”Enabling partner-approved accreditation as proof of their skillset and professional learning with us helps to further set them up for long-term success.”

The new partnership allows Fair Chance Learning to offer industry-approved certifications to educators and students across Canada. These certifications qualify a range of essential digital skills for today’s workforce such as productivity, multimedia (i.e. graphic design, photo and video editing, animation, etc.) and computer programming among others. Knowledge and skills on these software programs are in high demand in today’s workforce, and are predicted to only continue to grow further in demand.

Some of the industry-recognized accreditations available from Fair Chance Learning in partnership with CCI Learning include:

  • Microsoft o Microsoft Office Specialist o Microsoft Certified Educator o Microsoft Technology Associate

  • Adobe Certified Associate

  • Autodesk Certified User

  • QuickBooks Certified User

  • Ethical Hacking Associate Certificate

  • Entrepreneurship and Small Business Certification

  • Internet & Computing Core Certification (IC3)

  • And more!

“CCI Learning is delighted to be working with Fair Chance Learning across the country to support our Certify Canada initiative. In collaboration with school districts, colleges, corporations and community-based learning leaders, and with our partnership with Fair Chance Learning, we are determined to equip Canadians of all ages with the required technology credentials to thrive in an evolving digital economy” says Vanessa Knox, President and Chief Operating Officer at CCI Learning.

While Fair Chance Learning and CCI Learning celebrate their first official partnership, it isn’t the first time they have worked together. Fair Chance Learning and CCI Learning have supported each other for the past four years. Fair Chance Learning and CCI Learning have worked together beginning with the Microsoft Camp21 series in Toronto, Vancouver, Fredericton, and Saskatchewan, as well as at each of the annual Student Innovation Summit hosted by Lakehead Public Schools in Thunder Bay, and most recently, at the Microsoft AI Bootcamp for SHSM Students in Mississauga.

“Fair Chance Learning and CCI Learning have been excellent Microsoft partners across the Canadian education market. They both bring a depth of experience and expertise in helping students accomplish great things. By helping more students and educators certify their Microsoft skills, they are addressing the needs of our future generation of employees, ensuring they have the digital skills that are required by employers,” says Marc Seaman VP, Education Segment, at Microsoft Canada. “We look forward to continuing our work with both FCL and CCI and wish to congratulate them in this important partnership.”

As part of their partnership, Fair Chance Learning and CCI Learning have also committed to working together to co-host two events in the 2019-2020 school year. More details of these events will be released soon.
